We Believe…God loves kids! He has a special and unique plan and purpose for each one of them. He wants them to be difference-makers who change “business as usual” in the church, in their schools, in their cities and in the nations of the world.
Our Mission…To partner with parents in the spiritual training of their children. We strive to make our Kids Church the safest, funnest, most God-filled hour of a child’s week. And we strive to facilitate God-moments for our kids. Our main desire is that they would have an opportunity to meet with Jesus and invite Him to live in their hearts.
What to Expect…At Heart for the World, children are valued, respected, and loved…and they are NOT labeled! We believe in taking shame and labels off of kids. We communicate our heart and care for them by:
- Being prepared with a fun, God-filled lesson
- Anticipating their arrival and welcoming them warmly
- Giving lots of compliments and affirmation
- Being attentive to their stories and needs
- Speaking kindly and respectfully and dealing with them patiently
- Praying for them regularly
- Loving them just the way they are…like Jesus does
What they will experience during a Sunday service…
- Fun, engaging worship
- Creative Storytelling and Dramas
- Activities, Games and Crafts
- Yummy Snacktivities (which re-enforce the lesson)
- Prayer
- Positive Friendships
What we do to ensure safety…
- Teachers are screened with background checks
- Teachers are CPR certified
- Wellness policy is enforced
- “KidCheck” Check-in/ Check-out Software is used
What we ask of our parents…To be the primary faith influencers of their children; to make growing in Christ a fun, family thing; and to work together to raise up a generation of KINGDOM KIDS!
